Mati pest away is used to control a wide variety of pests including thrips, leafminers, spider mites, . It is a broad-spectrum insecticide that is highly active, by both contact and ingestion, in numerous insect species. It has a novel mode of action which helps prevent cross-resistance with organophosphates and carbamates. Spinosad has a short pre-harvest interval, which refers to the minimum number of days that must pass between the last application of a pesticide and the harvest of the crop. This characteristic is beneficial for farmers as it allows them to effectively control pests close to harvest without prolonged waiting periods. Its mode of action is different from conventional insecticides, making it an effective tool in managing pest resistance. Its unique mechanism targets specific receptors in insects, reducing the likelihood of pests developing resistance over time.
